In case you live in a crowded city like London, then you definitely need to move around behind the wheel of a fully-electric vehicle; in that sense, Citroen is offering a viable solution in the shape of the recently announced Berlingo Multispace EV.
We are looking here at an exceptional E-Berlingo model with two lithium-ion battery packs on both sides of the rear axle, pushing its electric motor to a full 66 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, which for a city car, is more than great.
Thanks to the performance and torque, as well as to the battery`s capacity of 22.5 kWh, the all-new Citroen Berlingo Multispace EV is capable of running 106 miles on the NEDC cycle, quite impressive if we take into account that most of the European drivers cover up around 60 miles a day.
Also very important, the new E-Berlingo Multispace can be charged to 50 percent in just 15 minutes, while the 80 percent range takes 30 minutes, thanks to a rapid charge point. If you want a full charge, then you will have to wait around 8 hours, while using a 16A Type 2 cable.
Besides the impressive mile range, the all-new Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace has access to the latest technology. Thanks to a smartphone and plenty of apps stored inside the cabin, you have access to a series of remote-controlled functions, like pre-heating and pre-cooling the entire cabin. You also have the navigation system with plenty of apps that display the traffic information, speed limits or charging points along the way.
