The hybrid segment on the United Kingdom market has recently added a new edition from Kia, which is no other than the Niro Hybrid mid-size crossover, an exceptional model that comes with affordable prices and low CO2 emissions.
The Kia Niro Hybrid is now available in the UK in four trims: the ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’ and ‘First Edition’, with prices to start from £21,295 in the entry-level and going up to £26,995 in the top of the line ‘First Edition’.
Each trim level comes with its own standard features but can also be had with additional tweaks, for additional fees, of course.
Visually, the Kia Niro Hybrid ‘1’ features a high-gloss black radiator grille with black and chrome surround, LED daytime running lights, tail lights, automatic windscreen de-fogging system, while the cabin is tweaked with electric windows, electric mirrors, 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, USB, and so on.
The higher-end versions come with extra features like leather upholstery, much wider screens, higher-performance stereo audio system and more. The topped ‘First Edition’ stands-out from the crowd with grey and leather trim, smart key and engine start/stop button, electric tilting, sliding sunroof or ventilated front seats.
In the engine department, all versions are equipped with a 1.6-liter petrol unit linked to an electric motor. The overall power stands at 139 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque, hooked to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Even if the Niro Hybrid is not that fast, it is instead extremely fuel-efficient, burning out just 74.3 mpg and 88 g/km of CO2 emissions.
