Kia customers in the UK will be able to get their hands on the newly introduced Optima Hybrid and Sportwwagon variants, both coming at competitive prices and some pretty impressive features.
The Kia Optima Hybrid can be had from £31,495, adding the plug-in grant fee of £2,500, while the Kia Optima Sportswagon can be yours from £22,295.
From a visual standpoint, the new Kia Optima Hybrid comes with some slight changes as opposed to the standard Optima, including new front and rear bumpers and grilles. Inside, the cabin is tweaked with the latest high-tech gizmos.
We should mention the all-electric drive modes, connectivity system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as improved high-quality materials which improve the interior`s aesthetic feel.
In the engine department, the Optima Hybrid is using a 2.0-liter direct injection petrol burner, developing 154 horsepower, hooked to an electric motor with an additional 67 horsepower. The hybrid powertrain is sustained by a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. The overall power stands at a good 202 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the Kia Optima Sportswagon comes with plenty of room inside and an impressive cargo capacity of 552 liters. The cabin also boasts with high-tech features, like Kia Connected Services, Harman/Kardon eight-speaker audio speaker, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The model is well-equipped with a lot of safety systems like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Smart Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and so on. Under the hood, the Sportswagon uses a 1.7-liter turbodiesel engine, with a good 139 horsepower.
