US: 2016 Fiat 124 Spider Released with Prices

Lately, we were used to seeing the iconic Fiat 124 Spider wearing the special badge of Abarth tuning division, showing off at different event, and perhaps we forgot how the 124 looked in its genuine body styling.

Well, recently, the Italian carmaker introduced the 2016 Fiat 124 Spider in the United States, the model celebrating 50 years of existence overseas.

Fiat has brought three editions in the US, the Classica, priced at $24,995, followed by Lusso at $27,495 and the Prima Edizione Lusso special edition, available at $35,000. Each versions come with its own standard and optional features, according to each one`s tastes.

The 2016 Fiat 124 Spider Classica is considered the most affordable spider version in the United States from a performance point of view. The model gets a lot of interesting body styling features, like LED taillights, halogen headlights, black roll bar finish, dual exhaust tips, or the base 16-inch alloys. The cabin is tweaked with black seats and high-end materials with silver accents.

The Lusso trim adds the 17-inch alloys, A-pillar header and roll bar cover painted in silver, while the cabin received the Piano Black accents, along with black or saddle leatherette with cluster brow.

For the Fiat 124 Spider Prima Edition Lusso special edition you get to enjoy the Azzurro Italia body wrap, premium leather on the seats, blue leather bag and journal with a pen, and much more.

Under the hood, all versions pack a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo flat-four engine, with 160 horsepower and 249 Nm of torque, hooked to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
