US: 2018 Volkswagen Beetle Kicks Off from $20,220

With a dramatic history behind that starts with 1932 and plenty of ups and downs throughout its existence, the iconic Volkswagen Beetle has survived the test of time and is now enjoying an increased popularity all over the world, especially with the recently introduced 2018 model in the United States.

The car`s evolutionary design language is a pleasant one, and all the high-tech innovations has not spoiled the car`s exquisite body style. The only difference between “THEN” and “NOW” is that the model is bigger and more aerodynamically advanced.

In the United States, the 2018 Volkswagen Beetle can be had from $20,220, without the $850 destination fee, and comes with plenty of new styling elements and plenty of power under the hood.

There are two variants involved, the standard S Coupe and the SE Convertible, each one coming with a 2.-liter flat-four cylinder turbocharged engine, developing 174 horsepower. The fuel consumption also stands at 26 mpg/33 mpg/29 mpg (city/highway/combined). The features and options for each variant can be found below.

Style & Comfort Package with: 6.3-inch Composition Media touchscreen infotainment display; SiriusXM® satellite radio; Volkswagen Car-Net® App-Connect; Voice Control; KESSY® keyless access with push-button start; heated leatherette seats with lumbar adjustment; 17-inch “Philadelphia” aluminum-alloy wheels; body-color side sills and door handles; body-color door mirrors with integrated turn signals in mirrors; automatic headlights; auto-dimming rearview mirror; and rain-sensing wipers.

2018 Volkswagen Beetle SE – Main Features

Climatronic® dual-zone automatic climate control; exterior chrome trim on the lower window; panoramic sunroof; and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert. For added luxury, a new Premium Package is available for the SE, offering 18-inch “Disc” aluminum-alloy wheels; front and rear Park Distance Control (ParkPilot); a 6.3-inch Discover Media touchscreen infotainment and navigation display; Fender® Premium Audio System; Bi-Xenon headlights; LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs); LED taillights; LED license plate lights; and fog lights.
