More and more carmakers are struggling today to build more fuel-efficient models and one of them is Chevrolet, which is trying to get a piece of the US`s auto market with the latest 2017 Cruze Sedan, considered to be an extremely efficient car.
Starting next month, the all-new 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Sedan will arrive on the local market with a price set at $24,760, adding the $875 destination fee as well, which for a diesel, that makes it extremely competitive.
Speaking of fuel-efficiency and good mile mixture, Steven Majoros, Director of Marketing at Chevrolet, has also talked about the car`s powertrain and mileage.
”Chevrolet is dedicated to offering customers a wide range of propulsion options. We know there are customers looking for the right combination of fuel efficiency, driving dynamics, fuel type and more. With the EPA-estimated 52-mpg highway Cruze Diesel Sedan, they can get it all.”
In terms of performance, the all-new 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Sedan is equipped with a brand-new 1.6-liter Ecotec four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, developing a good 137 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. The system is hooked to a six-speed manual as standard as well as an optional Hydra-Matic nine-speed automatic transmission, featuring the company`s latest stop/start system.
As aforementioned, the new Cruze allows a total of 702 miles on a single diesel tank, coming as well with an EPA-estimated 52 mpg (4.52 L / 100 km) highway. In the city, the figures are also impressive – 30 mpg (7.84 L / 100 km), with a combined mileage of 37 mpg (6.36 L / 100 km).
