Ergo, in a recent interview for Reuters, Mr. Victor Muller, CEO of the Swedish part of this alleged deal had a few interesting statements to make.

Obviously, at first hand he made sure everything he said left plenty of room for interpretation until a decision has been reached and confirmation could be available.

The most important of his statement on serious note was that Saab is at the moment still searching for a partner to provide most if the underpinnings for their future and most interesting throwback, the Saab 9-2. This means that while he confirmed Saab is looking, he didn’t confirm whether or not he found anybody.

Mr Muller also said that BMW would make a wonderful partner for such a venture as they are producing some of the best chassis out there and are also interested into moving into the FWD market soon.

This is pretty much it which means Saab is still jerking us around, BMW is still uncertain about what’s going on and the Saab 9-2 is still uncertain of having a future.
