Volvo is definitely leading the platoon with the most advanced technology that is bringing fresh to almost all its model lineup at the moment.

After revealing its intentions of introducing the Volvo “keyless” car app and the most advanced Spotify media streaming service, the Swedish carmaker has recently introduced the all-new Volvo V40 with the so called “Thor Hammer” LED headlights, the model being close to a final display at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, starting next Monday.

The 2017 Volvo V40 doesn’t bring that much in terms of visuals, but its main highlight is the new Thor Hammer LED headlights, the same ones also fitting the XC90, S90 as well as the V90.

Additional styling goodies refer to five exterior colors: Amazon Blue, Denim Blue, Bursting Blue, Mussel Blue as well as the Luminous Sand color, adding new front grille meshes with the new Volvo Mark logo.

The cabin has also received the City Weave upholstery, charcoal/blond steering wheel, panel trims, accent trim colors for the door inserts with contrast stitching, black headliner for extra bucks, updated key fob with the carmaker`s new logo, upgraded On Call smartphone application with the “smart key” function and much more.

Performance wise, the 2017 Volvo V40 has been equipped with a 2.0-liter flat-four D2 engine, hooked to a revised manual gearbox, which proves to be more fuel-efficient. More details concerning the performance figures will be revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
