Porsche is scoring high with its latest fleet of high-end models and the latest to join the club besides the all-new 911 turbo or Panamera, is the 2018 991 GT2, the hardcore version that closely follows the GT3 RS.
The model was recently seen while being driven around the Ring, an occasion for spy photographers to catch it on a spy video.
We are not going to see the future 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 too soon, as we will have to wait for another two years, but until then, it`s worth seeing it in some testing at the famous Nurburgring. As we can depict from the video, the test mule is looking extremely aggressive, borrowing some of the aerodynamics from its older brother, the all-new GT3 RS.
Even so, chances are that the new GT2 will come with its own interpretation of a GT3 RS-like aero kit, with improved styling features that would make it more agile and faster around the tracks.
Performance wise, the 2018 Porsche 991 GT2 is believed to come with a high-performance turbocharged engine, outputting around 600 horsepower, being sent to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, there are no official details concerning the entire powertrain. We should expect fresh info soon, meanwhile, enjoy the video with the model around the Ring!
