Honda NSX’s successor in the Japanese SuperGT championship began testing at Suzuka circuit. The model is equipped with a 3.4-liter V8 engine developing over 500 hp.
Japaneses from Honda began to test the new HSV-010 on the Suzuka circuit. The model is based on the NSX’s successor, who has not entered production, and its existence is dedicated strictly to competitions. Thus, Honda HSV-010 GT will compete in the Japanese SuperGT championship, at the GT500 class, instead of competing version of the NSX.
Reason for NSX’s replacement in this championship was changing regulations that require manufacturers to use the front-engined models. The new HSV-010 GT has a 3.4 liter V8, which achieve to develop over 500 hp. Because the environmental reasons, but also high costs of production that will not be recovered from sales, those from Honda will not create a street’s NSX replacement anymore and V8 street models were removed from the range.
