Videos: 2020 Tesla Roadster Costs $200K, Runs from Standstill to 100 km/h in Staggering 1.9 Seconds

View

Tesla Motors Company from North America is well-known for its technological innovations in the auto-industry; it is practically the only carmaker with no direct opponents in the electric and plug-in hybrid segments. It is no match not even for BMW, which is desperately trying to keep up the pace.

And right now, Tesla has done it again with the 2020 Tesla Roadster concept, set to cost at least $200,000 and coming with the best sprint ever achieved by an electric car and not only.

We are presently dealing with the concept guise, and chances are we might see it on the roads in a couple of years.
For the moment, everything about the 2020 Tesla Roadster is science-fiction: the power and particularly the torque. The sprint is part of the same scenario: a mind-blowing 1.9 seconds from a standstill to 100 km/h. And if you can`t believe your eyes, you just might want to hit the play button of the second video below and see it for yourself.

To achieve such impressive sprint, the 2010 Tesla Roadster here must be equipped with an incredibly powerful battery pack – in this case a 200 kWh battery with 250 kW and ….mega 10,000 Nm of torque, achieved at a staggering top speed of 400 km/h.

And that my friends would make it the fastest production car in the world. Besides the astonishing performance figures, the 2020 Tesla Roadster is also reported to come with an impressive 1,000 km range, which would be the third coolest thing about it.

As for price tags, I mentioned something around $200,000, which is quite a bargain for what it can do on the tracks. However, depending on the features involved, the price could go up at least $250,000 for the limited Founders Series edition.

In conclusion, we have a hell of an electric car, with mega torque, astonishing sprint and impressive mile range. All that for just $200,000. Is it cheap, is it expensive? Please comment, not until getting a closer look at the official unveiling video, plus another one which is showing the 2020 Tesla Roadster master-sprinting and taking off in an instant!
