Volkswagen announced the availability of a new special edition Amarok in the UK, a model which goes on sale in July. Called Amarok Edition, the new model benefits from 18-inch Durban alloy wheels, special side stripes, rear privacy glass, black bars and side step and parking sensors.
Inside, the German pickup model comes with a 5.0-inch touchscreen display, new floor mats, Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.
Under the bonnet we find a 2.0-liter BiTDI unit capable of producing 180 horsepower and 420Nm of torque, being linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
The total towing capacity of the Amarok Edition is 3,200 kilograms with an optional eight-speed auto gearbox and permanent 4MOTION all-wheel drive system available.
“Creating the right image is very important for a lot of our customers, so we’ve had great pleasure creating the bespoke specification for the Amarok edition,” says VW.
The company plans to produce a total of 300 units with pricing to start at £22,495 for the base model and £24,225 for the automatic one.
