When we think of Volkswagen Golf, we immediately associated with what used to be called the “poor man`s Golf, back in the 60s, but as time evolved, so has the car.
Here we are with the latest Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport, a great hot hatch that is now available for sale in Europe, for just 36,450 euros, standing thus between the standard GTI and the high-performance R model.
The model is also available with a five-door body style, for which you will have to pay an additional 900 euros, along with internet package, blind-spot monitoring or park assist.
Things get even better, as the Golf GTI just turned 40, an occasion for the carmaker to release the Golf GTI Clubsport.
Inside, the cabin of the GTI Clubsport comes with additional goodies, like sport bucket seats with stripes or the Alcantara D-shaped steering wheel with red stitching.
Apart the more aggressive body style, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is also impressive under the hood, the hot hatch packing a 2.0-liter TSI engine, developing a good 265 horsepower, which can also be raised to 290 horsepower, thanks to a power kit.
The Volkswagen GTI Clubsport comes with a mechanical limited-slip differential, which allows the model a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, via a DSG automatic transmission.
