The Germans at ABT Sportsline turn their attention to the new Volkswagen Golf R as they reveal a complete tuning kit.
The R version of the seventh-generation Golf benefits now from a body kit including sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a revised hood, front grille and rear diffuser.
The model also sits on new alloy wheels shod in sport tires. Power is offered by a tweaked 2.0-liter engine producing 370 horses and 460 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4,5 seconds and a top speed of 265 km/h.
The additional power was obtained thanks to a revised ECU unit and some other minor tweaks.
There are no details about any interior improvements but you can expect a series of modifications able to refresh the cabin. Pricing and availability details on ABT Sportsline’s kit for the VW Golf R are yet to be released.
