After more than ten years since the last convertible version within Golf’s range, the Germans decided to give it another chance, this meaning that at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show we will be able to see the convertible version of the current VW Golf VI.
Under the bonnet the new Golf VI convertible will be available together with more than ten otto, TDI and TSI engine options, the power amount ranging from 105 horsepower in the case of the 1.2-liter TSI all the way to the most powerful unit developing 210 horsepower.
Excepting the engine range which has been officially announced, there aren’t that many details to discuss about, the photos telling us all the important details because the main attraction is the soft-top roof which manages to do its job in 9,5 seconds.
Other technical changes such as modified pillars are also present compared to the three-door version which is the base of the new convertible. In terms of prices, we currently know that a German customer can order the base version at a price of €23.625, VAT included, the other prices following to be announced at Geneva.
