Big, massive and aggressive: this is the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion recently unveiled and now heading to the United Kingdom. But the most interesting part is the very affordable price it will come with in its base entry-level: just 23,200 GBP in the sedan and 24,750 GBP in the estate. And for that, you will get a bunch of interesting safety features and interior gizmos.
We are talking about body features like the new and more aggressive front and rear bumpers, the chrome front grille, sport suspension system, the BlueMotion badging, the 17-inch Soho wheels, followed by safety features such as the post-collision braking, the driver alert, misfueling prevention and a few more.
Moving under the hood, the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion will fit the four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo diesel, developing 120 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, the car being capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds in the sedan. The wagon takes a little bit more, 11.0 seconds for the same round, both a topping of 209 km/h.
Even if the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion doesn’t impress much with its performance features, it does however come with a good fuel efficiency. I mean 3.7L / 100 km and CO2 emissions of just 95 g/km, via a six-speed manual transmission.
