Volkswagen officially unveiled a new special edition for the current Polo hatchback, a model that wants to praise the impressive milestone hit by this model during its 40 years existence. That’s right as the first-generation model was unveiled in 1975.
The Volkswagen Polo Original special edition comes in a limited run of 1,000 units and sports this special Honey Orange Metallic finish.
Besides the exclusive paint, Volkswagen offers darkened taillights, revised door sills, LED headlights, a glossy black finish for the front grille as well as 16-inch Portago wheels.
Inside, buyers will get faux leather side bolsters, aluminum pedals, black & orange upholstery to match the exterior as well as automatic climate control. Safety is also important, systems such as Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and rearview camera being present.
According to the carmaker, the new Polo Original special edition will be available only in the five-door configuration. Pricing starts at €19,950 in Germany, the only market that will get this limited model.
