The Germans from Volkswagen released today full information on the new Polo R WRC Street, a model seen for the first time at Wörthersee earlier this year.
The new model is based on the latest-generation Polo and will be offered in Europe in a limited edition of 2,500 units.
The 2013 VW Polo R WRC Street packs a powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine offering 217 horsepower and 349Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6,4 seconds and a top speed of 243 km/h.
These performance figures make it the fastest Volkswagen Polo available on the market. The four-cylinder unit is linked to a six-speed manual transmission while fuel economy figures are rated at 7,4lt/100km with CO2 emissions of 174 g/km.
At the exterior, the German model receives a white finish with blue and grey stripes, WRC badging, new 18-inch alloy wheels with 215/35 R18 tires and revised bumpers.
Inside, buyers will find a new steering wheel with Alcantara, a black roof liner, new pedals and WRC logos. Pricing for the new Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street starts at €33,900.
Even the customers can place their order now, deliveries are expected to begin later next year, in the month of September to be more specific.
