Volkswagen decided to offer a more affordable version of the e-Golf in the United States, a model that will save you around $2,000 compared to the current base model. It is called Limited Edition and has a starting price of $33,450.
Under the hood of the German model sits an electric motor capable to produce 115 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h sprint time is 10,4 seconds with an electric range of 133,5 kilometers thanks to a 24.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.
At the exterior, buyers will get automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels and automatic wipers. Enter the cabin and you will find cloth upholstery, dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera, navigation system and keyless access.
If you are not very sure about going full electric with the Volkswagen e-Golf, the company says thet the model supports DC Fast Charging which means that you can charge the battery to 80% in around half an hour.
“The e-Golf Limited Edition is also available at a monthly lease price of $229, plus applicable fees,” adds the company. Next up in the range is the Volkswagen e-Golf SEL Premium which starts at $35,445 and has extra features such as LED headlights and larger alloy wheels.
