Good news if you are looking to get the new Beetle as the German company just introduced two engines in the range of the small model.
We talk about a new 2.0-liter TDI diesel able to develop 138 horsepower and will be available exclusively with the Design and Sport trims.
The frugal unit returns a fuel economy of 4,9 liters/100km with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km.
On the other hand, the second unit is a powerful 2.0-liter TSI petrol with 197 horsepower able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,5 seconds.
The unit comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission while a six-speed DSG gearbox is also available.
The new TDI unit is available only with the Sport trim which comes with 18-inch alloys, a retuned suspension, revised headlamps and brake calipers and also a dual-pipe exhaust system. Pricing for the range-topping model starts at £22,295 for the manual transmission and £23,805.
“A wide range of optional equipment is also available on all Beetle models, including Keyless Access, satellite navigation systems, bi-xenon headlights and a selection of different alloy wheel designs,” concludes the car maker.
