Volvo is planning to launch this year a new special edition, called Ocean Race. However, they will introduce the new Ocean Race package on more than one model, something you probably did not expected at the first glance. Hitting the Volvo dealearships somewhere in June, the new Ocean Race special edition will be available for four models in the range, namely V60, V70, XC60 and XC70.
The new Ocean Race edition will bring some new features outside, such as new exterior colours (Ocean Blue II or Electric Silver), a new set of aluminum wheels and some chromed components.
According to Lennart Stegland, an official spokesman within the Swedish manufacturer, the Ocean Race edition wants to make you think to sailing and ocean, the aluminum trims and the unique wheels inspired by the ocean’s waves movement helping you to get in the right mood.
Inside, the same idea is retained with aluminum trims, leather seats, aluminum sill plates and also some special designed floor mats. The new Ocean Race package is expected to be available in a limited edition of 7,500 units.
