It seems that the Swedes from Volvo are preparing something quite attractive for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. According to some rumors, Volvo will unveil a hybrid model based on the current V60, a hybrid vehicle able to provide a fuel consumption of just 1,9 liters/100 km.
Volvo fitted an electric engine able to develop 70 horses assisted by a turbodiesel unit which offers extra 215 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. There is an automatic six-speed transmission which manages the power while the total CO2 emissions issued by the hybrid model is 50 g/km.
The Swedish hybrid model packs a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery which provides enough storage capacity to provide a fully electric driving range of 50 kilometers, not very impressive indeed but not forget about the stunning average fuel consumption announced by the people from Volvo. Even the model in question is a concept there is most likely to enter the series production soon.
