Volkswagen decided to improve the engine range of the new Beetle in the United Kingdom. Firstly, British buyers will be able to order the model with a new 1.2-liter TSI petrol unit offering 104 horsepower which comes together with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The new petrol engine will be offered with the base and Design trim levels. A larger 1.6-liter TDI diesel power plant also joins the range and promises good fuel consumption figures mainly due to the BlueMotion Technology.
It comes with a total output of 104 horsepower and can be coupled to a five-speed manual or seven-speed DSG transmission.
UK pricing for the new VW Beetle with the 1.2-liter petrol starts at £15,195 which becomes now the most affordable variant in the range.
On the other hand, the 1.6-liter TDI engine is priced from £17,030. You can order one of these two variants right now and expect to get your car early next year.
