VW unveils new Scirocco R-Line and GT Black models

View

It seems that UK buyers get spoiled again with two new special editions from Volkswagen.

The German carmaker announced their plans to introduce two special Scirocco editions, namely the R-Line and GT Black. Both models will get several engine choices like the 1.4-liter TSI with 125 hp or a more powerful 2.0-liter version with 180 horses. The diesel lineup includes only a 2.0-liter TDI that comes in 150 hp and 184 hp flavors.

You can pair these engines with a standard six-speed manual transmission as well as a DSG automatic gearbox. However, what makes these models stand out is the set of aesthetic improvements. The VW Scirocco R-Line Black Edition comes with revised bumpers, new side skirts, a black roof and 19-inch Black Lugano alloy wheels.

Inside, buyers will find a sport steering wheel and Vienna leather seats. Next up is the VW Scirocco GT Black Edition which has 18-inch Lisbon alloy wheels, black mirror caps, a black roof and tinted rear windows.

Volkswagen says that the new models will benefit from a good starting price. To be more precise, both models start at £23,135 (on-the-road) and represent a good deal as they come with extra equipment for less money.
