World’s first functional truck made of ice

With the winter already making a strong presence in various parts of the world, cars start to exhibit various ails due to low temperature.

One particular worry is the battery, which can render the vehicle unusable if it can’t stand up to the rigors of weather.

But low temperature is not a problem for the Motomaster Eliminator battery, and in order to prove the quality of their product, the manufacturer decided to organize a special little test. For that they chilled the battery to a low, low temperature of -40°C and then mounted it on a truck to see if it works.

Only, that wasn’t just any truck. They took a working chassis, welded the suspensions and constructed the whole body out of ice. In these conditions, the battery managed to start the engine without a hitch, and this peculiar truck managed to drive for 1.6 km, setting a world first record. Watch below for more details.
